Baghdad, The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received two phone calls from his brother, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and his brother, the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa, expressing to President Barham Salih their blessings on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, and their good wishes to the Iraqi people for peace, prosperity and progress.
During the two phone calls, according to a presidential statement, it was stressed the importance of bilateral relations with Iraq and their development in various fields to serve common interests and the security and stability of the whole region.
During the two calls, President Barham Salih expressed his hope that security, stability and prosperity will prevail throughout the region and its people, and that the challenges and tensions surrounding it will be overcome through cooperation and joint coordination for the benefit of the countries of the region.
