The President of the Republic stresses the importance of the International Labor Conference with its humanitarian, cultural, political, economic and social motives

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed today, Thursday, the importance of the International Labor Conference with its humanitarian, cultural, political, economic and social motives, expressing his hope to work to achieve the desired goals of convening the conference.

The Office of the President of the Republic said in a statement that the President of the Republic met today, Thursday, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, with the Director-General of the International Labor Organization, Gilbert Hongbo.

The statement added, “The meeting was attended by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Evan Faiq Jabro, and a number of advisors and officials.

For his part, the Director-General of the International Labor Organization thanked the President of the Republic for his participation in the conference and for his valuable proposals, stressing the organization’s endeavor to establish the foundations for more effective global cooperation to face existing challenges and address future threats in various fields.

The statement indicated, “President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid wrote a word in the organization’s golden book, through which he expressed his thanks for the organization’s efforts to promote collective action among nations aimed at consolidating justice among peoples, in a way that allows poor countries the capabilities of social justice for their people and contributes to reducing the areas of economic, social and cultural differences, referring to the importance of cooperation and coordination with the organization to achieve humanitarian and social goals.
