The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed today, Sunday, the need to benefit from energies and expertise in order to complete the process of construction and development in the country.
A presidential statement stated that the President of the Republic received, today, Sunday, at the Baghdad Palace, professor of linguistic and Quranic studies, Fadel Saleh Al-Samarrai, Sheikh of Arab diplomats, Mahmoud Ali Al-Dawood, and the head of Al-Zaher Media Foundation, consultant dermatologist, Dr. Ali Abdul-Razzaq Mohieddin.
During the meeting, the President of the Republic stressed the necessity of caring for scholars and researchers and supporting Iraqi scientific scholars, who had a prominent and well-known role in local and international forums. He also touched on the importance of reading and libraries in building societies and the advancement of countries.
The President of the Republic indicated, according to the statement, that establishing security and stability is a priority in the government’s ambitious program, in addition to providing services and rehabilitating infrastructure, indicating that the delay in the budget greatly affected the start of implementing vital projects.
The President spoke about the importance of peaceful coexistence between ethnic and religious components, stressing that cultural and scientific work is the way to consolidate coexistence among all, noting in this regard that there are efforts being made for the convergence of the Arab and Kurdish cultures.
The President of the Republic also stressed, according to the statement, the necessity of upgrading the role of the Iraqi diplomat in order to contribute effectively to the process of advancement and construction, which requires concerted benevolent efforts to enhance the role of Iraq in the region and strengthen relations with its neighbors and countries of the world, and the need to benefit from energies and expertise in order to complete the process of construction and development in the country.
In turn, the guests expressed their thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic for his efforts in sponsoring science and scholars, stressing that their energies are harnessed to serve Iraq, and they also reviewed the activities of the House of Wisdom, and the cultural and scientific publications issued by it, noting coordination and cooperation with universities to attract scientific and literary cadres.
