The ministry said in a statement that the Special Intelligence Tasks Cell affiliated to the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense carried out a lightning operation, which resulted in the overthrow of the official of the so-called Diwan al-Jund of the terrorist ISIS gangs, against whom an arrest warrant was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (4/1). ) Terrorism, as he was arrested in Shirqat district of Salah al-Din Governorate, after following up on his movements and his escape from Nineveh Governorate.
