The United Nations warned, today, Monday, that the Libyan city of Derna, which was afflicted by floods last week, “faces the risk of a disease outbreak” that could lead to a second devastating crisis.

A number of UN agencies confirm that those affected, 30,000 of whom are homeless, are in need of clean water, food and basic supplies, in light of the increasing risk of cholera, diarrhoea, dehydration and malnutrition.
