The Basra police arrested the instigators of an armed quarrel in Al-Deir district, north of the governorate.

The media of the Basra Police Command stated in a statement, “After information was received that an armed quarrel had taken place in Al-Shafi district of Al-Deir district, a force was formed from Al-Deir Police Station, Al-Shafi Center, in partnership with a force from the Basra Operations Command. The area was cordoned off, the quarrel was controlled, and ( 13) persons accused of those who caused the quarrel.

He added, “a vehicle used in the fight was seized, and inside it were ammunition and stores, and they were referred to the judiciary.”
