Today’s newspapers, Sunday, followed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani’s directives that the security and military units be on alert to confront any emergency and follow up on the repercussions of the Zionist aggression on Lebanon.

For his part, security expert Fadel Abu Raghif said: ‘The visit of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to the Joint Operations Command is an important and exceptional visit in exceptional circumstances and is not a periodic visit.

He added: This visit falls within the framework of raising morale, inspecting the security, military and intelligence units, raising the level of readiness, emphasizing caution and vigilance, making more security efforts, activating intelligence efforts, as well as spreading in a consistent and coordinated manner between field units to occupy all geographical areas within the sector of responsibility. Pointing out: The region is witnessing an exceptional circumstance that requires military readiness and preparedness.

The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, had previously directed to make maximum efforts to con
trol security throughout the country, while stressing the continuation of strengthening the capabilities of the security forces.

The Prime Minister’s media office stated in a statement that “the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, visited the headquarters of the Joint Operations Command in the capital, Baghdad.”

It added that “al-Sudani met with a number of senior security leaders, and was briefed on the security situation in various sectors of military responsibility, the progress of implementing security plans and the challenges facing military agencies and formations of all kinds, and the level of readiness to ward off any risks and anything that might disturb security and stability.”

According to the statement, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces directed “all security leaders to make the utmost efforts necessary to maintain security throughout the country,” stressing “continuing to enhance the capabilities of the security forces, and developing train
ing mechanisms that contribute to raising the level of readiness in the face of risks that may threaten the country, in light of the start of implementing the joint declaration with the United States regarding ending the mission of the international coalition in Iraq within a year.”

Al-Sabah newspaper was interested in Iraq hosting the Lebanese brothers who were displaced from their homes due to the Zionist aggression on their cities and villages and said, ‘In times of hardship, the true character of men is known.’ This saying literally applies to the Iraqis, as Iraqi chivalry and generosity appear whenever hardships occur, and this time the hardships are in Lebanon and Gaza. For its part, Al-Zaman newsp
aper said that Iraq has taken urgent measures to secure its airspace from any hostile aircraft that may attempt to launch raids targeting vital facilities and military sites in light of the military escalation witnessed in the region as a result of the continued Israeli aggression on Lebanon and Syria, amid anticipation of the announcement of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

Major General Yahia Rasool, spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, said in a statement that (the government has paid great attention to developing air defense capabilities, as a contract was signed with South Korea months ago to possess an advanced air defense system, and this requires time to complete its construction).

He added that (Iraq has the ability to monitor the airspace and track aircraft crossing the airspace, as the forces have taken all necessary measures to protect the airspace and all necessary measures to secure it).

MP Ali Al-Bandawi had previously revealed that (Iraq has taken measures and
steps in anticipation of an Israeli attack at the military and security levels and even at the level of ministries and others).

Baghdad witnessed a massive popular march in support of Gaza and Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi embassy in Lebanon confirmed that there are 30,000 Iraqis demanding to be evacuated.

The embassy said in a brief statement yesterday (We are facing problems in evacuating Iraqis after the closure of Beirut airport, and the danger of the land route with Syria).

In Lebanon, it was announced that four hospitals were out of service due to the Zionist aggression.

The official agency said in a statement yesterday that (4 hospitals were out of service in southern Lebanon due to the Zionist aggression on residential areas).

From Damascus, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reiterated the importance of reaching a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza, hoping for the success of the ongoing efforts in this regard.

Araqchi said in a statement yesterday that (the most important issue now is the cease
fire, especially in Lebanon and Gaza),

He added that (there are initiatives in this regard, and we had consultations that we hope will be successful).

Araqchi had confirmed from Beirut his country’s support for the efforts to cease fire in Lebanon and Gaza simultaneously.

The Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Damascus via its international airport, as he was unable to travel by land to Syria due to Israeli raids targeting Masnaa border area, which led to the closure of the international road between the two countries. Meanwhile, an Israeli military official explained that the army is preparing a response to the Iranian missile attack that targeted Israel a few days ago. The official, who requested anonymity, said that (the Israeli army is preparing a response to the Iranian attack on Israel).
