The Turkish Aerospace Industries Company / TUSAS / announced that its locally-made “Anka 3” drone achieved an accurate and direct hit in the first live ammunition firing test.
“TUSAS” indicated in a statement today, Friday, that it has begun supplying “Anka 3” with ammunition to make it capable of carrying weapons in the military field, as the guidance set (TEBER-82) developed by the Turkish company “Roketsan” was placed under the wings of the aircraft.
The company stated that the “Anka 3”, equipped with the camera (Aselflir 500) manufactured by “Aselsan”, flew carrying ammunition / air-to-ground missiles / to hit its targets and that it succeeded in the test by hitting the target directly.
The “Anka 3” is equipped with a new generation drone system, and has the ability to carry out reconnaissance, surveillance and intelligence operations missions, attack with various air-to-ground ammunition, disable enemy radar and air defense systems through the jamming system it carries and protect friendly forces in
the air and on land, electronic warfare and others.
It also has a superior ability to hide from radar devices due to its structure design that is free of horizontal or vertical tails.
The Anka 3 can fly at an altitude of 44,000 feet and carry out its missions at an altitude of 40,000 feet. The drone can also engage in joint operations with the Turkish F-16 and Hrjit manned fighters, in addition to its ability to use the ammunition of these two fighters as well, according to a statement by the Turkish company that manufactures it.
