The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the elimination of 21 militants in northern Syria and Iraq, during the last four days.
In remarks on Saturday at the state of Kayseri, in central Turkiye, Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar said that his country’s forces continue with determination to combat militants in northern Syria and Iraq.
He stressed that the Turkish army will continue to protect the country’s borders and combat armed groups.
Turkish forces, in cooperation with the Syrian National Army, are carrying out several operations in northern Syria, including Operation Euphrates Shield and Operation Olive Branch against ISIS and YPG. During the operations, thousands of kilometers of territory were cleared of militants, as well as giving the opportunity to thousands of Syrians to return to their homes.
