Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated on Tuesday that Turkiye regards any attempts to fragment Syria as a direct threat to its national security, pledging Turkish intervention if such a scenario arises.

According to Qatar News Agency, Fidan addressed what he identifies as separatist factions in Syria, cautioning them against viewing the current chaos as an opportunity. He accused Israel of attempting to undermine efforts aimed at achieving peace, stability, and security in Syria.

The Turkish Foreign Minister expressed that “Israel pursues a policy aimed at weakening its region and keeping it in chaos,” arguing that Israel’s intentions are to prevent the emergence of a stable neighboring nation, thereby seeking to divide Syria.
