Istanbul Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavusoglu announced that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Iran soon, without specifying the date of the visit.
Turkish media reported that Çavusoglu and his Iranian counterpart discussed during their meeting today, Sunday, on the sidelines of the meeting of foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Islamabad, aspects related to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s imminent visit to Tehran, in addition to the latest developments in the region.
Çavusoglu described the relations between Iran and Turkey as friendly and distinguished.
