Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed strengthening bilateral relations and regional and international issues in a phone call Tuesday. During the call, Erdogan stressed that the conflict in Iran should not hinder efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine. He emphasized the critical importance of Ukraine healing its wounds, commencing reconstruction, and ensuring lasting security.
According to Qatar News Agency, Erdogan highlighted Turkiye's strong commitment to the safety of navigation in the Black Sea. He stated that achieving a ceasefire that guarantees the protection of energy infrastructure and ports could contribute to building trust between the parties. Turkiye pledged to provide all possible support to achieve this.
