The intelligence agency's detachments in Al-Najaf arrested two suspects who placed a hand grenade in the car of a hospital director, in addition to threatening five employees.

A statement by the agency stated that the intelligence agency detachments received information that two people threatened the director of a hospital in the holy city of Najaf, by placing a grenade on the windshield of his private car, in addition to threatening the lives of five employees. Immediately, an intelligence and technical work team was formed, accompanied by a special force, to pursue those people. After collecting the information and completing the rest of the investigations, and with a tight ambush, the detachments of the Intelligence Agency specialized in combating terrorism in Al-Najaf Governorate were able to arrest the perpetrators.

It added that when they were interrogated and confronted with evidence, they explicitly admitted that they had committed these acts, as their statements were written down and referred to the concerned authorities to complete the investigation with them in preparation for bringing them to justice.

The Intelligence Agency called on citizens to report all outlaws throughout Iraq by calling the toll-free hotline 144.
