His Excellency Salem Rashed Alowais, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Colombia, met with His Excellency Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia, and conveyed the greetings of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as well as their wishes for his country and people to experience further development and prosperity.
His Excellency Alowais also affirmed the UAE’s keenness to deepen relations with Colombia and promote common interests.
For his part, His Excellency Petro praised the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples, as well as the development of ties at all levels. He also conveyed his greetings to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and expressed his wishes for the people of the UAE to achieve further growth and prosperity.
His Excellency Petro also noted the Colombian government’s commitment to clean energy sources and praised the strategic initiatives implemented by the UAE to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
