The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was “shocked and appalled” by images he saw of Israeli occupation forces’ aggression on the Palestinian worshipers inside al-Aqsa Mosque.
Palestinian Wafa news agency quoted Spokesman of the UN Chief Stephane Dujarric as saying that the UN Secretary General was shocked and appalled when viewing images of the “violence and beating” within the holy site by the Israeli forces and found it more distressing because it came “at a time of a calendar which is holy.”
For its part, Iraq expressed rejection of the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of the yards of al-Aqsa Mosque which was accompanied by the brutal aggression against the worshipers inside it.
In a statement issued by the press office of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Iraq called upon the international community to curb these heinous actions.
