Michigan: Authorities in the US state of Michigan have arrested an individual on charges of threatening to carry out an attack if former President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump wins the election.

According to Qatar News Agency, local authorities released a statement tonight, detailing that a 25-year-old man had communicated a threat to the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center in West Virginia. The threat outlined his intention to execute an attack should Trump secure a victory in the election.

The Republican presidential candidate has previously survived two assassination attempts. The first incident occurred in July during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania when a man fired at him. The second attempt took place in September at Trump’s golf course in Florida.

Voters in the United States headed to the polls earlier today to elect their 47th president. Approximately 230 million Americans are eligible to vote in this election, with around 160 million registered voters. However, nearly h
alf of the states allow same-day registration, and citizens in North Dakota can participate in the election without prior registration.
