New york: Major stock indices on the US Wall Street opened higher on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened with a rise of 75.4 points, or 0.17 percent, reaching 44,050.53 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the S and P 500 index gained 21.7 points, or 0.34 percent, to reach 6,395.17 points. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite added 122 points, or 0.57 percent, reaching 21,507.441 points.
