US West Coast Braces for Intense Storm as Bomb Cyclone Approaches.

US West Coast: US authorities have warned of flooding that will accompany the “bomb cyclone” that will later hit northern California on the country’s west coast and the Pacific Northwest region. The National Weather Service issued a statement warning of heavy rains starting Tuesday and until next Friday, as the region will be hit by the strongest atmospheric river, which is a long and narrow area of air in the atmosphere that resembles a river, and will send columns of moisture extending far over the Pacific Ocean.

According to Qatar News Agency, Richard Pan, a meteorologist at the center, explained in statements that the storm’s strength has intensified so quickly that it is considered a “bomb cyclone”, expecting that the areas that may witness particularly heavy rains as the large moisture column heads toward the ground will extend from south of Portland, Oregon, to north of San Francisco. He called for caution against the risk of flooding at lower elevations and winter storms at higher elevations, and str
ong winds that will hit the region, which may also cause power outages.

On October 10, Hurricane Milton hit the eastern coast of the US state of Florida, killing ten people and cutting off power to more than 2.5 million homes.
