Jakarta, An earthquake measuring 4.7 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Tuesday the Indonesian province of Central Sulawesi. The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) said in a statement that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 34 km from the Konawe Regency in the province, and at a depth of 10 km. There have been no reports of material damage or human losses as a result of the earthquake so far. Indonesia lies on the so-called Ring of Fire, an arc of fault lines circling the Pacific Basin prone to frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Source: Qatar News Agency
