A fire broke out in an orchard in the village of Al-Karrada in the district of Al-Hay, south of Wasit, and the civil defense detachments were able to put out the flames.

The Director of Civil Defense in Wasit, Brigadier General Haider Shaker, told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the fire was controlled and prevented from spreading to neighboring orchards and farms without causing human losses, indicating that the cause of the fire will be determined by a forensic expert.
