The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) concluded Thursday two training programs on the UN Convention against Corruption, international standards for preventing and combating corruption, and the law regulating the right to access information.
The ACTA stated that the training program on the UN Convention against Corruption comes within the development plan pursued by the ACTA to enhance the public officials' capacities, raise their efficiency and provide them with knowledge that enhances their scientific and practical capabilities in the areas of integrity, transparency and prevention of corruption, which contributes to building human development, an important pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The ACTA also wrapped up today a training program on the Law Regulating the Right to Access to Information, in coordination with Lusail University's Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center. The program which lasted from Oct. 2 to 5, dealt with introducing the concept of the right to access information, and reviewing the right to access information law.
