The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, received in his office today, Monday, the Venezuelan ambassador to Iraq, Arturo Anibal Caicos Ramírez. A statement from Al-Hakim's office said: 'The two sides exchanged views on developments in the political scene in Iraq and the region and ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, as Al-Hakim stressed Iraq's openness to everyone in a way that serves its interests and preserves its sovereignty.' Al-Hakim explained the nature of the challenges that Iraq faced and overcame, and that it is experiencing an unprecedented state of stability at the security, political and economic levels. He called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop the war of genocide and starvation to which the Palestinian people are exposed, praising all supportive positions and demands for the support and protection of the Palestinian people.
