Baghdad - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and his Emirati counterpart, Hamad Al-Rahoumi, stressed the cessation of the aggression and the rapid provision of aid in the Gaza Strip.
The Office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated: “Today, Al-Mandalawi met at Baghdad International Airport with the First Deputy Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council, Hamad Al-Rahoumi, and his accompanying delegation, to participate in the work of the thirty-fifth emergency conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, which Baghdad will host tomorrow, Wednesday, regarding the events in Palestine.
Al-Mandalawi stressed Iraq's firm and supportive position on the Palestinian issue, and the need for the Arab countries participating in the conference to have a unified position to condemn the barbaric operations and brutal practices of the Zionist entity against defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip, and to reject attempts to displace people from their homes and land under any pretext or title.
The First Deputy discussed with his Emirati counterpart and the accompanying delegation the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, and the role that Arab countries must play in breaking the siege, stopping the aggression, and providing urgent aid to the Palestinians./End
