Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has taken significant steps in fostering international relations and supporting global humanitarian efforts. In a gesture of goodwill, the Amir sent a cable of congratulations to HE President of the Republic of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh on the occasion of Djibouti’s Independence Day. Furthermore, the Amir received a phone call from HE Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson on Friday, emphasizing the ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad actively participated in diplomatic discussions at the World Humanitarian Forum in London. The minister met with various international figures, including HE Under-Secretary of State for Africa at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Lord Collins of Highbury, and HE CEO of the World Humanitarian Forum Feraye Ozfescioglu, among others. These meetings aimed to strengthen international cooperation on humanitarian issues.

The Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Office in Geneva organized the fourth edition of the Diplomatic Community Football Tournament under the theme: “Sport For Peace, Human Rights, and Development”.
