Doha: HE CEO of the Qatar Media Corporation Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al-Thani participated in the extraordinary meeting of the undersecretaries of ministries of information of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, held on Friday via videoconferencing. The meeting addressed several crucial issues to enhance joint media action amidst the current regional circumstances.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions primarily centered on formulating a unified Gulf media strategy to address the ongoing crisis. There was a focus on countering rumors and disinformation campaigns that could potentially threaten the security and stability of GCC states. The meeting also emphasized strengthening coordination among official media institutions to convey a balanced and unified Gulf message.

Participants of the meeting further reviewed the agenda and technical topics that are scheduled to be submitted to the emergency meeting of Their Excellencies GCC ministers of information.
