Five Palestinians were martyred today during an Israeli army assault on Nour Shams refugee camps in Tulkarm in the north of the West Bank.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Israeli army started early today a large-scale military assault on Nour Shams refugee camp and neighboring areas, where one person was shot and killed shortly after the assault began.

Later, as the assault continued, two army helicopters were seen flying over the city as a drone fired missiles at certain areas in the center of the camp causing deaths and injuries, it added.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health had said that the number of martyrs in Gaza and the West Bank rose to 3,569 since the beginning of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7.
