Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed today, Sunday, with the UK Ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Hickey, developments in bilateral relations and the upcoming visits between officials of the two countries.
A statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "the two sides discussed, during the meeting, a set of regional and international issues, and the file of Iraq's accession to the agreement establishing the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development of 1990 (EBRD) and its impact on the economic situation in Iraq in the future and attracting European companies to work in Iraq."
For his part, the British ambassador reviewed his discussions with the leaders of political parties in Baghdad and the Kurdistan region.
