GCC States Conclude Arabian Gulf Security Exercise in Qatar

Doha: The joint tactical exercise titled "Arabian Gulf Security (4)" concluded in Qatar, with participation from security agencies and forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

According to Qatar News Agency, the exercise involved the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom of Bahrain, alongside specialized security units from the United States.

The exercise aimed to fortify the Gulf security cooperation framework, elevate readiness levels, and enhance joint coordination to address evolving security challenges. The exercise, which began on January 24, focused on improving response capabilities to crises and emergency situations through field coordination and role integration among various units.

Al-Arab and Al-Raya newspapers highlighted the significance of the exercise. Al-Arab emphasized its goal to strengthen security cooperation and readiness among GCC states. Al-Raya noted the exercise's advanced model of joint security work, showcasing integration among GCC security agencies and U.S. units. The exercise implemented over 70 training scenarios and 260 hours of practical training, testing operational plans and enhancing role integration among leaderships and specialized units.

Both publications commended Qatar for successfully hosting the event, which demonstrated a commitment to building a cohesive security system capable of unified field operations and efficient risk management. This exercise underscores the GCC states' progress towards enhanced security collaboration.
