HH the Amir and UAE President Discuss Fraternal Ties and Regional Peace Efforts

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HH President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a significant meeting to discuss the robust fraternal relations between their countries and explore ways to enhance them across various domains. The discussions also focused on regional developments and the concerted efforts required to achieve peace and stability, which are crucial for fostering growth and prosperity for the peoples of both nations.

According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir welcomed HH the President of the UAE and his delegation, expressing satisfaction with the visit, which underscores the strong bond between the two fraternal nations. HH the President of the UAE expressed his country’s solidarity with Qatar following the recent attack on its territory, affirming the UAE’s support for any measures Qatar may take to safeguard its sovereignty and security.

HH the President of the UAE praised the efforts of HH the Amir in facilitating the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel. In response, HH the Amir conveyed his appreciation for the UAE’s solidarity and support for Qatar, particularly in light of the recent Iranian military attack.

The leaders exchanged views on regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomatic solutions to address regional crises and ensure security at both regional and global levels. The meeting highlighted the significance of cooperative efforts in promoting stability in the Middle East, especially following the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel.

The meeting was attended by high-level officials from both Qatar and the UAE, including HH Personal Representative of HH the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, and other senior Qatari officials. The UAE delegation included HH Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and other distinguished members.
