The Head of the Europe Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Haidar Al-Athari, met today, Wednesday, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Bulgarian Embassy in Baghdad, Nikola Draganov, at the ministry's headquarters in Baghdad.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "the two sides discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries, a number of issues of common interest, and work to activate memorandums of understanding and agreements, which contribute to increasing joint cooperation."

It added, "The meeting also discussed the upcoming visit of Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein to Bulgaria, and the meeting with the leaders of the Bulgarian government, to discuss joint cooperation in the private sectors and review investment opportunities."/ End
