Kuwait City: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday as the All Share Index lost 45.79 points to reach 7,896.24 points, a decrease of 0.58 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 582.7 million shares valued at KWD 122.7 million (roughly USD 375.4 million) were traded via 30,214 transactions. Despite the overall decline in the All Share Index, some market segments showed positive activity.
The Main Market Index increased by 65.66 points to reach 7,290.87 points, an increase of 0.91 percent. This uptick was achieved through 393.7 million shares exchanged via 19,141 transactions, valued at KWD 55.7 million (roughly USD 170.4 million).
The Premier Market Index also saw a gain, rising by 43.09 points to reach 8,437.33, up by 0.51 percent. This performance involved 188.9 million shares traded through 11,073 transactions, with a total value of KWD 66.9 million (roughly USD 204.7 million).
Meanwhile, the bourse Main 50 Index increased by 98.83 points to reach 7,228.04 points, marking an increase of 1.39 percent. This growth was facilitated by a stock volume of 282.8 million shares completed in 12,158 deals, totaling a value of KWD 41.6 million (roughly USD 127.2 million).
