Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower as All Share Index Declines

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Tuesday as the All Share Index lost 48.12 points to reach 8,629.78 points, a decrease of 0.55 percent. As many as 400.8 million shares valued at KWD 87.8 million (roughly USD 267.7 million) were traded via 25,319 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index went down by 31.35 points to reach 7,714.54 points, a decrease of 0.40 percent. This was facilitated through 284.9 million shares done via 16,850 transactions valued at KWD 40.7 million (roughly USD 124.13 million).

The Premier Market Index also saw a decline, losing 54.69 points to reach 9,284.53 points, down by 0.59 percent. This occurred through 115.8 million shares done via 8,469 transactions valued at KWD 47 million (roughly USD 143.3 million).

Meanwhile, the bourse Main 50 Index gained 43.91 points to reach 7,701.39 points, up by 0.57 percent. This increase was achieved through a stock volume of 229.3 million shares done in 10,814 deals at a value of KWD 32.2 million (roughly USD 98.2 million).
