Meteorology Department Warns of Poor Horizontal Visibility

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating misty to foggy weather conditions initially in certain areas, with moderate to relatively hot daytime temperatures accompanied by some clouds. There is a warning for poor horizontal visibility in specific locations during the early hours.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions are expected to be misty to foggy at times with some cloud cover, alongside a warning for anticipated poor horizontal visibility. Inshore winds will predominantly be southeasterly, ranging from 05 to 15 KT, with gusts reaching up to 20 KT at times. Offshore, winds will be easterly-southeasterly, with similar speed and gust conditions.

The sea conditions inshore are anticipated to fluctuate between 1 and 3 feet, reaching up to 4 feet occasionally, while offshore conditions are expected to range from 2 to 4 feet, with peaks up to 6 feet at times. Visibility inshore is projected to vary between 3 and 8 kilometers, dropping to 2 kilometers or less in some areas initially. Meanwhile, offshore visibility will range from 3 to 8 kilometers, occasionally reducing to 1 kilometer or less.
