The Minister of Justice, Khaled Shawani, announced the participation of the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, in the meeting of the 39th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, which will be held tomorrow, Monday, at the government palace in Baghdad.

Shawani said, in a joint press conference, today, Sunday, “We are pleased with the presence of a large number of Arab justice ministers and that the Secretary-General of the Arab League will participate in the meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice in Baghdad.”

He added, “This Executive Office meeting today in Baghdad is an important meeting to restore and confirm Iraq’s return to its leadership role in the region and the Arab world, and we also look forward to increasing judicial and legal cooperation,” indicating that “the meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice will be a key to consolidating judicial relations between Iraq and the brother countries, and activating memorandums of cooperation and common understanding in various sectors.”/End
