Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has announced the reopening of Al Jaidah Automotive Company following the successful implementation of a comprehensive set of corrective measures that met the Ministry’s standards. This reopening comes after a temporary administrative closure was enacted due to violations concerning the availability of spare parts and the timeliness of after-sales services.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry stated that Al Jaidah Automotive Company proactively took steps to address these issues. The company resolved all customer service and spare parts complaints and enhanced its inventory via urgent orders totaling QR 1.6 million. These actions are intended to reduce waiting times and enhance service quality.
The Ministry further explained that Al Jaidah Automotive Company has increased supply rates from the manufacturer and adjusted its internal processes to tackle any delays exceeding five days. Additionally, the company agreed to settle fines amounting to QR 180,000.
The MOCI highlighted that these corrective measures demonstrate the company’s dedication to resolving its issues and aligning with the Ministry’s directives, fostering improved after-sales service standards and bolstering consumer confidence in the market.
The Ministry’s statement underscored its ongoing efforts in monitoring and inspections to ensure compliance with Law No. (8) of 2008 on Consumer Protection across all commercial entities. It encouraged citizens and residents to report any violations or misconduct through the Ministry’s call center at 16001 or via its official social media platforms.
The Ministry’s Administrative Decision No. (18/2025), issued on August 3, led to the company’s 30-day closure due to 29 repeated violations and multiple consumer complaints, constituting a breach of Article (16) of Law No. (8) of 2008 and its executive regulations.
