Qatar Donates Navigation Equipment to Enhance Beirut Airport Operations

Beirut: The State of Qatar has provided a grant to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Lebanon, aimed at supporting Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport with navigation equipment and technical systems. The donation was marked by an official handover ceremony at the airport, attended by HE Ambassador of Qatar to Lebanon Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny, and other notable officials.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Qatar's Ambassador emphasized during the ceremony that the grant underscores the strong ties between Qatar and Lebanon. He highlighted Qatar's ongoing commitment to assist Lebanon in various sectors, especially during challenging times. The Ambassador noted that the support for Beirut International Airport aims to boost its operational capacity and improve service quality.

HE Minister Rasamny expressed gratitude towards Qatar for its continued support. He remarked that the equipment would significantly enhance navigation efficiency at the airport and strengthen its operational readiness. The Minister acknowledged Qatar's steadfast support, particularly given Lebanon's current economic difficulties, and commended the collaborative efforts of all involved in ensuring the airport's functionality.
