Qatar League: Kenyan Michael Olunga to QNA, Proud of Al Duhail SC Experience

Al Duhail Sports Club first team’s striker, the Kenyan Michael Olunga confirmed his satisfaction with his experience among his team’s ranks.

In an exclusive interview with Qatar News Agency , Olunga that he is happy and proud of being in Al Duhail SC, adding that since joining the Club, his goal has been to strongly compete in continental and local tournaments, which he has indeed done, with his team winning the Qatar and Ooredoo Cups this season, despite getting eliminated in the quarter-finals of HH the Amir Cup.

Olunga said that his focus currently is on helping Al Duhail SC accomplish victories and win the title, stressing that he is not concerned with talks of transfer to other clubs, indicating that it is still too early to talk about that matter and that it is left to the management of Al Duhail SC.

He indicated that he is comfortable with Al Duhail SC and is happy with the Club’s environment currently, in light of the great support provided by the Club’s management.

The Kenyan footballer praised the Argentine coach Hernan Crespo’s leadership of the team having successfully won the Qatar and Ooredoo Cups.

Olunga concluded his statement to QNA by affirming his admiration for the remarkable development of Qatari football, praising the State of Qatar’s achievement of hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
