Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sent a cable of congratulations to HE President of the Republic of Malawi Dr. Lazarus Chakwera on the occasion of the Republic Day. Joining him in this gesture, HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani also extended his congratulations to President Chakwera on the same occasion.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani similarly conveyed his congratulations to the Malawian leader on the anniversary of their Republic Day. In separate news, Qatar pledged full support to the United States in their efforts to tackle the aftermath of the catastrophic floods in Texas, which resulted in casualties and missing persons.
The Qatar Red Crescent Society announced a collaboration with the Canadian Red Cross, supported by the Government of Canada, to provide psychosocial support to Palestinian families residing in Qatar over a six-month period. Additionally, the Qatar Career Development Center, under the Qatar Foundation, launched the 7th edition of the ‘My Career ‘ My Future’ program, engaging over 250 high school students in job-shadowing opportunities across 25 sectors.
