Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index saw a modest increase of 0.03% at the beginning of trading on Sunday, with an uptick of 2.90 points bringing the index to 10,762, in comparison to the previous session’s close.
According to Qatar News Agency, notable gains were observed in four sectors, with Insurance leading at an increase of 1.46%. The Consumer Goods and Services sector followed with a rise of 0.31%, Industrials climbed by 0.08%, and Banks and Financial Services saw a slight increase of 0.04%. Conversely, some sectors experienced declines: Telecoms dropped by 0.04%, Real Estate slipped by 0.06%, and Transportation fell by 0.17%.
As of 10:00 am, trading activities at QSE included a volume of 20.261 million shares, resulting in a total turnover of QR 58.867 million through 1,997 transactions.
