The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Tuesday that it had thwarted an armed attack by a Ukrainian drone over the Crimean Peninsula.

Russian air defense systems destroyed the drone over Crimea, without resulting in casualties or material damage, the ministry said in a statement cited by RT news.

On Monday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its systems destroyed a drone over the Black Sea near the Crimean Peninsula.

The number of Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory has increased in the past few weeks.

Russia and Ukraine have been engaged in fierce confrontations since Feb. 2022, and all international and regional efforts have not succeeded in ending them so far.
