The Iranian Ministry of Security announced on Sunday that it had thwarted a plot to carry out 30 simultaneous bombings in different crowded points in the capital, Tehran.
The Ministry said in a statement: “We foiled a brutal plot to carry out 30 simultaneous terrorist bombings in various crowded points in the capital, Tehran, and all those involved in this terrorist plan were arrested.”

It pointed out: "Iranian security forces raided several terrorist headquarters in the provinces of Tehran, Alborz, and West Azerbaijan and arrested 28 of them.
It stated: "The elements involved in the operation belong to ISIS, and some of them have a history of belonging to Takfiri groups in Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Kurdistan region of Iraq."
It stressed: "The method of planning this operation and the behavior of the terrorists was much more complex than the usual pattern of Takfiri movements and is very similar to the methods and operations of the Zionist entity."
It pointed out: "During the process of arresting the terrorists in a house, the terrorists were planning to carry out a suicide operation, but the security forces prevented them from carrying out their operation, which led to the injury of two people from the Iranian security forces.
It pointed out: “The terrorists intended to blow up crowded points in the capital, Tehran, to show an image of the lack of security in the country, but the security forces prevented this and arrested them in Tehran, Alborz, and West Azerbaijan before they carried out any operation.”
