Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed Friday with his Somali counterpart, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who is currently visiting Ankara, ways to develop relations between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, Erdogan stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries, reiterating his country’s support for the Mogadishu authorities and the Somali people in combating terrorism and achieving national unity.

The two presidents also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
