Turkiye: Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacir, stated that his country currently controls approximately 65 percent of the global military drone market.

According to Qatar News Agency, Kacir highlighted the crucial role that Turkiye has played in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), particularly in the context of combating terrorism. This strategic focus has significantly bolstered the nation's position in the military drone sector.

Kacir emphasized that a substantial portion of Turkiye's dominance in this market is due to the contributions of Baykar, a prominent drone developer and manufacturer. Looking ahead, Turkiye plans to enhance its capabilities further in unmanned systems, missile systems, and radar systems, alongside increasing serial production levels.

The Turkish Minister underscored that while Turkiye aspires for peace, it recognizes the necessity of maintaining a robust deterrent force to achieve and sustain this peace.
