Doha: The main indices on the US Wall Street stock exchange began their trading Wednesday on an upward note: The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 84.9 points, or 0.19 percent, to 44,196.61 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the S and P 500 Index increased by 10.1 points, or 0.16 percent, to 6,309.3 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index climbed 38.7 points, or 0.18 percent, to 20,955.222.
