Voters Go to Polls in Thailand’s General Election

Thai voters went to polling stations on Sunday for general election.

More than 52 million Thai citizens are eligible to vote in the elections.

Under the dual voting system in which voters cast one vote for one of the 400 members of parliament’s constituencies and another vote for their preferred party vying for the 100 deputies on the party lists, voters will elect a total of 500 members of parliament’s lower house.
