Public revenues in the Sultanate of Oman decreased by 2 percent year-on-year during the second quarter of 2024, reaching about OR 6 billion and 197 million, compared to OR 6 billion and 342 million in the same period of 2023. Data issued by the Omani Ministry of Finance Monday showed a decline in net gas revenues by the end of the second quarter of this year by about 15 percent, reaching about OR 943 million, compared to OR 1 billion and 115 million in the same period last year. Net oil revenues increased by the end of the second quarter of this year by 3 percent, recording about OR 3 billion and 362 million, compared to collecting OR 3 billion and 257 million until the same period of 2023.
