Riyadh: The State of Qatar has participated in the GCC General Secretariat ceremony, marking the Council’s 44th anniversary. The event was significant, bringing together key figures from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states to celebrate the long-standing cooperation and unity within the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ceremony was honored and sponsored by notable dignitaries, including HRH Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HRH Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HE Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs in the State of Kuwait Abdulrahman Baddah Al Mutairi. Kuwait currently holds the presidency of the GCC Supreme Council, adding further significance to its participation in the event.
The presence of HE Secretary-General of the GCC Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi further underscored the importance of the celebration. The State of Qatar was represented by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bandar bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, highlighting Qatar’s commitment to regional unity and collaboration. The event served as a reminder of the GCC’s achievements and the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties among member states.
