Baghdad, The National Intelligence Council and the Kurdistan Region Security Council met in Erbil Governorate. The National Security Advisory stated in a statement: "In implementation of the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, the National Intelligence Council held a meeting today in Erbil Governorate, in the presence of leaders and representatives of the intelligence services in the federal government and leaders of the intelligence services in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and in the presence of National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji and the Minister of Interior of the region, Reber Ahmed." The meeting discussed a number of topics and issues of common interest, including the challenges of many common files between the federal government and the region, in order to find appropriate solutions to those challenges. The attendees discussed the continuation of joint coordination and exchange of information and the importance of unifying the intelligence work are nas to achieve integration in performing security and intelligence tasks. The attendees also agreed to continue holding meetings and gatherings for the sake of a unified Iraq and sustainable security in which all its people enjoy dignity. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
